01Our approach

Vantage by Bytefount uses only the cookies and browser storage needed to provide the service.

02What we set

These are set by Bytefount Limited on this site.

• sid (shown as __Host-sid on the live site): your sign-in session. Strictly necessary, removed when you sign out and otherwise lasts up to 8 hours.
• oidctx (shown as __Host-oidctx on the live site): holds the state of a sign-in in progress so the login cannot be forged. Strictly necessary, lasts 10 minutes.
• vantage_plan: remembers the plan and billing period you chose on the pricing page so billing can offer it after you sign up. Used for nothing else, lasts 30 days.
• cookie_notice_dismissed: remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. Strictly necessary, holds only the value 1, and is not used for tracking. It is set on the parent domain so the notice is asked once across that domain's sites, and lasts 12 months.
• Browser storage on your device (not sent to us): norims-mode (light, dark or system), norims-theme and norims-custom-color (your colour choices), and a second note that you dismissed the cookie notice. They stay until you clear them.

03What others set

Paddle.com, our merchant of record, loads Paddle.js on the billing pages only. When you pay, Paddle may set its own cookies and storage for checkout and fraud prevention. Paddle is responsible for them; see its cookie policy at paddle.com.

Signing in takes you to our sign-in service, which sets its own session cookies. They keep you signed in there.

04Clearing them

Sign out to end your session, or delete cookies and site data for this site in your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and resets your appearance choices; the cookie notice may appear again.
